One of the most popular shows of Indian television history is going to comeback; Kasauti Zindagi Ki, which launched the career of Shweta Tiwari and reached the audiences far and wide across the country, has a sequel, but this time, there will be a different Prerna and her arch Nemesis, played to unforgettable campy perfection by Urvashi Dholakia. Erica Fernandes has been roped in to play the central character in the sequel, Prerna Basu and was recently seen shooting for a teaser for the show. However, the most interesting news to come from the development of KZK 2 is that Hina Khan could be playing the famous Komolika.
Although there has been no official confirmation, reports suggest that the actress could be stepping in the shoes of the female villain. Hina Khan is one of the most popular actress’ to have emerged from Television industry, and some of it is due to her controversial, decisive and entertaining stay at the Bigg Boss house last year which not only gave her a lot of fans, but also a lot of haters on social media.
Producer Ekta Kapoor recently tweeted that Komolika is not going to be as Over the Top as she used to be, but “will b totally diff than d earlier one ! Smarter less OTT as fierce just less obvious!” This is surely going to be a challenging role for the actress, if she indeed agrees for the part. Interestingly, while Komolika was popular, Prerna always remained the centre of the narrative, so could Hina be now willing to star in a show that doesn’t revolve around her career?
