Shree Rajput Karni Sena has been doing everything above and beyond their capacity to damage anything which is even remotely related to Sanjay Bhansali’s epic Padmaavat. In the latest chain of events Karni Sena attacked a school in Ratlam’s Jora district where students were performing on the Padmaavat song Ghoomar on annual day. Apparently a student has been injured in the attack as this radical organisation is constantly destroying the property and life threats to people without facing any opposition from the law whatsoever. Rajput vote bank is clearly more important than the lives of people in this country and the exhibition of art and culture by a maverick film maker.
Karni Sena is constantly demanding for a complete country wide ban on the film and trying to make sure that it never releases. Film is already facing ban in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh which would affect the eyeballs and box office collections tremendously. Karni sena members were standing outside CBFC office in Mumbai trying to protest against the certificate given to the film which would let it release till they were detained by the cops.
Attacking a school of innocent children to prove a point is an act of cowardliness and indiscipline, radical beats like Karni Sena is trying to destroy the very fabric of this country which is democracy. Under human rights every citizen has the right to freedom of speech and expression till they are not breaking the law. Makers of Padmaavat have abided every single legality and than why they are not protected by the law. Shree Rajput Karni Sena is issuing threats everyday on national television against the film and the makers while their chief minister Vasundhara Raje is also banning the film so that she can secure Rajput votes in Rajasthan in upcoming elections. Padmaavat will release on 25 January 2018.
