Nammavar Kamal Haasan met Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Kochi today and might have discussed about some kind of alliance in upcoming elections. Kamal is eyeing the position of CM in Tamil Nadu during 2021 Lok Sabha elections and he is campaigning heavy already. Kamal has known Vijayan for sometime now and has been eyeing for this meeting which now happened during the controversial period of South Indian politics where Karnataka became the hub of political apocalypse. Kamal has been campaigning all over the southern region and well beyond Tamil Nadu to extend his reach into politics.
Kamal has been the top actor in Tamil cinema for the longest time of decades and he is using all that popularity to leverage it into votes. He gets crowd wherever he goes to meet people but there is still some confusion if they are coming to see their favorite movie star or are actually interested in his political approach as well. This issue will be massively faced by Rajinikanth when he will start campaigning because there is literally no actor in the world who attracts raw crowd like him so who would he know if they are coming to see the onscreen persona for real or the politician.
Rajinikanth has been a conservative person all his life and fans have been yearning to see him in person for the longest time and they will know when he will voluntarily go to interact with them. One can’t be sure if any of it would convert into votes after all because movie stars are understood more as entertainers and not as serious people.
