For the first time,the talented actress Huma Qureshi will be seen sharing sceen with the god of Tamil industry Ranjinikant in his upcoming movie Kaala Karikaalan. Earlier due to certain reasons the movie was getting delayed from its shoot schedule, but now finally it has come on the floor.

Not not Huma Qureshi, but Nana Patekar and Anjali Patil are also confirmed as being the part of the movie. If rumours are to be believed then, Huma would be playing the role Rajinikant’s love interest in the movie. It was heard that earlier Vidya Balan was chosen for the role as she is known for bold roles in movies. But due to certain date issues she walked out of the movie.

As per the rumour going round the corners, Rajinikant will be playing the role of a gangster in the movie.There will be a 40 days shoot in Mumbai.On a budget of nearly Rs 5 crore, a set of Dharavi slum has been recreated for the film.

The film is said to revolve around a guy who runs away from Tirunelveli in his childhood to Mumbai and becomes a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi. He is Kaala to those who oppose him, and it is also a reference to his colour. While Kaala means dark in many languages, it also stands for Yama, the god of death. Rajinikanth will be playing a role of a gangster who brings justice to the wrongdoers in his own style. Karikaalan, meanwhile, was a popular Chola king.

The movie has been produced by Dhanush and the music of the film is by Santhosh Narayanan. Huma Qureshi is also shooting for her movie Dobaara which is set to release on 2nd june, 2017.

Kaala Karikaalan is going to hit the theatres sometime in the mid of 2018.
