Jarugandi is an upcoming Tamil film starring Jai in the lead role and first look of the film will be unveiled by blockbuster director A R Murugadoss on 29 January at 5 pm. Jarugandi is written and directed by Pitchumani and Murugadoss is coming to the event as a guest and get some more limelight to the project. Producer Badri Kasturi and Nitin Sathyaa invited Murugadoss to grace the film by his presence and hand of support as he is one of the most celebrated director in the history of Tamil film.
Murugadoss himself is going through a bad career phase as his last two films by the name of Akira, a Hindi thriller with Sonakshi Sinha and Anurag kashyap and Spyder, Telugu starring Mahesh Babu were dead on arrival and did not get the kind of accolades Murugadoss is use to. As of yet Murugadoss is making a film with Vijay in Tamil which does not have a title and is called Thalapathy62 for now. Murugadoss is back in his territory which is Tamil cinema after roaming around in several other Indian territories such as Telugu and Hindi though Spyder was a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
Murugadoss is a friend of director Pitchumani and maybe that is why he is extending his supoort for this film with which he has nothing to do. Jarugandi is a thriller which is highly anticipated by the Tamil audience and presence of ace director like Murugadoss only helps in getting more media hype which is the whole point of calling him. Murugadoss is usually not known for frequent presence in events or shows except when his film is on release as last time he was seen was around the release of his disaster Spyder. Teaser and release date of the film will be announced in the event with rest of the star cast present.
