Irrfan Khan’s banned movie Doob- No Bed of Roses to premiere at Shanghai International Film Festival

Irrfan Khan who can undoubtedly be called a versatile actor is now all set to make his entry in a Bengali movie titled ‘Doob-No Bed of Roses’. The movie is basically a bilingual film which has been directed by Bangladeshi director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. The movie will have a world premiere at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival. The movie revolves around the story of members of two families who seem to fall in love with each other when their head of the family dies.

The movie Doob has been produced by Abdul Aziz and Irrfan under the banner of Jaaz Multimedia and Irrfan Khan Films.

Irrfan Khan took to his Twiiter account to announce that the movie will be screened at Shanghai International Film Festival stating, “#Doob will be screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival .. Here’s the poster

As per the reports, Doob movie was banned by the Bangladeshi government as the movie is said to be based on the life of Bangladeshi writer-director Humayun Ahmed who divorced his wife of 27 years and married an actress 33 years his junior. But the director of the film denies the rumours and says that the movie is not at all a biopic. It is a completely different story.

As per the talks going around the corners and also looking at his Instagram post we can say that Irrfan Khan is currently shooting in New York for his upcoming Hollywood movie Puzzle. The actor will take out some time and surely attend the premier of the movie that will take place at the end of the month.
