Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai is a movie which brought Shraddha Kapoor in a new limelight after all the monotonous roles she was asked to perform.This would be the first time Shraddha will be seen in a never seen before avatar performing the role of Haseena Parkar. The movie has been directed by Apoorva Lakhia and also features new member and he is no other than Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor who will be seen playing the role of Dawood Ibrahim.
In a recent interview when she was asked that who would be the first person whom she would like to direct and cast in her movie if she ever wears the hat of a director. The actress with full confidence replied that he would be no other than her father veteran actor Shakti Kapoor. When further asked about getting the perfect look for the character, Shraddha said: “I gained seven to eight kilos for the movie. Now I have to lose it.”
Haseena Parkar is a biographical crime film. The movie is basically based on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar who became a part of the crime industry to take revenge of her brother. Appreciating the director of the movie she said that he is one of the most energetic and positive person she has ever met with and it was very pleasing to work with him.
The “Baaghi” actress was also asked about her father’s co-star actors like Govinda, who has worked with her father Shakti in films like “Raja Babu”, “Saajan Chale Sasural”, “Coolie No. 1” and “Hero No. 1” among many others. Claiming to be a fan, Shraddha wrote: “He is just one of a kind. I am a huge fan. Love his movies. He rocks.”The “Half Girlfriend” actress also expressed her desire to work with actor Hrithik Roshan.
