Producer of ‘Hangover’ franchise, J.C. Spink, died of drug overdose in April according to Coroner report. He had traces of fentanyl and cocaine in his system , which was mentioned in the report. Report released on Wednesday, mentioned that Spink had a history of prescription drug abuse and was a binge drinker and “self-medicate with marijuana”, reports variety.com.
He also had a history of sleep apnea, diabetes, anxiety and depression. He was obese as well, weighing 296 pounds, according to the report. Spink was found unconscious at his home in West Hollywood on April 18 at 7 p.m. His brother told authorities that he appeared “woozy and out of it” earlier in the day.
In addition to the fentanyl and the cocaine compound, lab results came back positive for fluoxetine, an anti-depressant, and methamphetamine, the active ingredient in Benadryl. The report concluded that Spink died of “multiple drug intoxication”.
J.C. Spink have produced , co-produced many popular flicks apart from ‘the hangover’ series, including, ‘The Ring 2’, Leap Year, Cats and Dogs, We’re the Millers, Monster-in-law, Red Eye, Arthur. J. C. Spink have played a minor character in ABC comedy ‘The Goldbergs’ for two episodes. Interestingly, J. C. Spink was a schoolmate of Adam F. Goldberg.
