The wait of the Arjun Kapoor fans is finally over as the makers of the film have finally released the film today in the theatres. Most of the films based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestsellers have been box office hits except Hello which was inspired from One Night At The Call Center. The makers of Half Girlfriend, Bhagat is also one of them, have left no stone unturned to promote their film, and now they will be hoping for a good show, but it might be a tough task as actors don’t seem completely soaked in their characters.
Half Girlfriend is a film particularly based on a Bihari Boy and a rich modern girl. The characters in the film are named as Madhav Jha and Ria Somani. Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor) is a Bihari boy who gets admission in Delhi University’s prestigious St. Stephen’s College through the sports quota. There he meets Riya Somani (Shraddha Kapoor), a rich Delhi girl, and immediately falls for her. What we call as Love at First sight.
“Dost Se Zyada, Girlfriend Se Kam”( More than friends, less than a girlfriend) is the tagline of the film.The film has been given a gloomy romantic touch with Arijit Singh’s vocals in the background, as Madhav comes in term with Ria’s world and the concept of casual love.
A bunch of music composers have been roped in to score for Half Girlfriend. The list includes Mithoon of Aashiqui 2 fame plus Tanishk Bagchi, music producer Rishi Rich, Farhan Saeed(former lead vocalist of Pakistan band Jal), Ami Mishra and Rahul Mishra.
The latest flick is under the Balaji Motion pictures and ALT Entertainment. It is very common for the actor to go an extra mile to live up their roles to the fullest. Arjun Kapoor also followed the same. He lived in Bihar for 10 odd days before shooting began.
