All the rumours about Gurdas Maan planning a movie project with his wife Manjeet Maan have proven to be right, with the Punjabi singer/actor announcing his new movie ‘Nankana’ to be directed by this wife Manjeet Maan, produced by Pooja Gujral and music by Jatinder Shah. The singer-actor took to his twitter account to make the announcement. The film will release in theatres next year on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, on April 13th 2018.

This multi- talented personality of the Punjabi entertainment industry will be seen playing the lead role in the film. And as the name suggests, the film will be an epic on Sikh History. For those of you not aware, Nankana Sahib is a city and capital of Nankana Sahib district in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is named after the first guru of the Sikhs and the founder of Sikh faith, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who was born here and first began preaching in the same place. This historic city is of great religious value for the Sikhs and pilgrims from all over the world, visit this place.

Manjeet Maan, a former actress, made her directorial debut in 2010 with Sukhmani : Hope for Life and runs a film production company named ‘Sai Productions’ based in Mumbai.
