Golmaal Again movie review: The Movie serves funny idiocy

Golmaal Again is the fourth film in the series, and if you’ve watched the previous ones, you know what to expect from this one. It is idiotic, sometimes not funny at all and still very enjoyable because it doesn’t take anything seriously, not even its own characters. The story is stupid, and even if there are some reveals, they’re not worth recounting because chances are that once the credits roll, you would’ve forgotten everything about the movie. It is directed by Rohit Shetty, and if you’ve seen his other films, you know telling a good story isn’t his strong suit. The movie stars, Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra and Tushaar Kapoor.

The plot, as it is, revolves around a palatial house and the ghosts haunting it and the main group of friends who move back to their neighborhood and experience the terror, even though nothing in the movie is scary, except bad jokes.

The performances from the cast are uniformly good, even though you have to question why an actress of Tabu’s caliber is doing in this madness, but she’s very good and so is Ajay Devgn and Tushaar Kapoor. Parineeti Chopra brings her usual bubbly charm to the movie and livens it up a bit.

I’d recommend the movie, because even though it isn’t anything special, it is still funny enough to pass the time.
