Game of thrones season 7 episode 5 has apparently been leaked. Hackers who have managed to steal 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO have threatened that on Sunday (6/8/2017) they will release more leak that they have gathered but they failed to do so. Some intricate details of episode 5 (The blood of the dragon) famously called as spoils of the war are out on internet with pictures of detailed synopsis, marketing plans etc. Game of Thrones has become the most watched television series of this century and is always under constant attack from hackers as hackers are also teasing HBO with the leaks.
The plan which they have executed so far is to leak the details in the form of documents or video footage just a day before the official release. Season 7 episode 4 was leaked online with low quality footage and has been picked up by the dark internet. The unshakable reputation of HBO as it was is now on stake as it affects the credibility of the channel with their most watched content. As GoT is under constant limelight it also affects the data of other HBO shows which were picked up under that 1.4 terabyte of public scrutiny.
Spoilers of what might turn out to be the biggest episode in the history of GoT is definitely affecting the TRP’s on HBO and Hotstar. The piracy on internet as a phenomena is older than time and it can be accessed by anyone who barely has a gmail account. Torrent searches are available on the first click and because of this there is no way that anyone can stop people from watching the leaked content, the key is to not let it leak at all.
