As Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati inches closer for its release, expectations are rising high about how it is going to depict the story of the The God Queen Padmavati who valiantly gave up her life by performing Johar so the evil ruler Alauddin Khilji couldn’t have her as his Wife. For a year, the movie has been in and out of news because of controversies regarding rumors that Bhansali has altered the story so that appears that Alauddin Khilji and Padmavati were in love with each other and has been accused of many other historical inaccuracies, even though no one has watched the movie yet.
So, it should come as a relief that Smirti Irani has assured that the authorities are going to make sure that no one tries to make trouble when the movie is released. Speaking with the Director Karan Johar, she clearly stated that there no transgression of the law would be accepted and that any miscreants will face severe reaction if they try to disturb the peace of theater or perform violent activities.
This must be reassuring to everyone involved with the film and it is great that the government is agreeing to give the movie its full support by increasing the security around the release of the movie.
Padmavati is scheduled to release on 1st December and also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
