Deepika Padukone talks about Padmavati, her salary and more at 3D launch trailer

Deepika Padukone had a lot to say about her movie Padmavati and the detractors of her appearance yesterday, at the launch of the 3D trailer of the movie. On the issue of her salary, Deepika said, “Talking about my remuneration is not exciting for me. I am confident and comfortable with what I am paid. But let me tell you something and this is something I am really proud of is the fact that people like them, have invested this kind of money on a film like this and poster like this…that for me is hugely encouraging.”

Deepika went on to address the issue that some people have raised about her uni-brow in the movie, and have commented that she isn’t made to look too beautiful in the movie.

“Women have been conditioned to think of beauty in a certain way and I am glad with what we did with ‘Padmavati’ and my look. It takes immense amount of belief, not just for me but for my director as well, to take that risk.” she replied to the throng of reporters.

Indeed, Deepika is correct in her statements and is generous in her answer to the critiques that are just based on the appearance of Padmavati.

The Actress is very nervous about the release of the movie, which is rumoured to be the longest of Director Sanjay Lila Bhansali’s career, as a reported 3 hour 13 minutes. Padmavati is going to be the widest Indian 3D release and Paramount Pictures has stepped up to distribute the movie internationally.
