The 70th annual Cannes International Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held from May 17th to May 28th 2017 in the French Riviera, will be a beautiful culmination of movies, art and fashion. Before we get onto the Indian beauties that will be scorching up the red carpet and making heads turn, let us brief you about the film festival which will be celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

The official twitter handle for the Cannes Film festival revealed the official poster for the festival featuring Italian actress Claudia Cardinale.
The official festival partner, L’Orèal Paris has a long list of internationally well- known faces representing the brand for many years now. This year’s Indian contingent of brand ambassadors include Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (who has been going to Cannes for fifteen years now), Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, all set to make heads turn this year with their fashion choices.
While we haven’t had any sightings of Aishwarya and Sonam yet, Deepika Padukone, the newly appointed brand ambassador for L’Orèal, who is expected to walk down the red carpet on May 17th and 18th, has already landed in the French Riviera of Cannes. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor are scheduled to depart on a later date.
Deepika Padukone was spotted by the paparazzi at the Mumbai Airport, leaving for Cannes.
The actress has managed to keep her Instagram account buzzing with Cannes updates, jokingly posting pictures of her diet for the red carpet, which includes tons of sugar.
