Blade Runner 2049 VFX company to work on ‘Brahamastra’

Production of Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Brahamastra’ is on full throttle with principal photography being commenced in Bulgeria with Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Brahamastra is being directed by ace director Ayan Mukherjee who has previously made two films with Ranbir by the name of ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani’. Just like these two films this one is also being produced by Karan Johar, who has been quite ambitious about this one as he has already announced it as a three part trilogy.

First part of Brahamastra will release in 2019 and rest two to be followed closely. Hollywood Science-Fiction Blade Runner 2049 won an Oscar for their on par work with the use of visual effects in the film. Blade Runner 2049 is already considered as a cult of it’s time due to the unusually creative visuals and Roger Deakins’s brilliant cinematography. The same company that worked on the visuals of Blade Runner is now hired to do the visual effects for Brahamastra. Brahamastra is one of the biggest all time Hindi film upon the scale with which it is being made and three different parts make it larger than ever.

No producer in Hind film industry has ever announced a trilogy before the first part of the film even began shooting. Even Baahubali was announced for only two parts stuck to the promise while also becoming highest grossing film in India of all time. Ranbir has recently delivered a massive flop by the name of Jagga Jasoos though his performance as a stammering detective was very appreciated. Ranbir has only made hits with Dharma which includes Karan Johar’s last directorial film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which went on to become one of the highest grossing film of 2016. Plot of the film is not yet been revealed by the makers though it will be a good mix of contemporary and ancient set up.
