The teaser for the movie, Blackmale, directed by Abhinav Deo has been released. The movie stars Irrfan Khan, who is heard narrating the teaser, and telling the reason for why he is running in an underwear down the street, with a paper bag on his head. Abhinav Deo made the cult classic, Delhi Belly, and it seems that Blackmale, is going to be another irreverent and surreal comedy with another winning performance by the great Irrfan Khan. It is going to be released on Feburary 22, and has been picking up hype for its name and the talent involved.
The title is obviously a play of words, as if Blackmail, but it already gives an idea that Deo is going to give the audiences another freaky comedy. The teaser is also impressive as it tells the story even before revealing Irrfan’s face, and seems to be about an ordinary man in some very strange situation, as people chase him down the narrow lanes, possibly to hit or what not.
The movie also stars Guru Randhava and the acclaimed actress Kirti Kulhari, whom people might recognize from Pink and Shaitan. Blackmale is slowly building excitement among the general audiences and the fans of Delhi Belly, who can’t wait to see what Abhinav has made for them this time around. But, the one thing that is certain, is that Blackmale is going to feature another great performance from Irrfan Khan.
