Bioscopewala movie trailer, a modern adaptation of Ranbindranath Tagore’s Kabuliwala

The trailer for the movie, Bioscopewala has been released. Directed by Deb Medhekar, it stars Danny Denzongpa, Geetanjali Thapa, Tisca Chopra, Adil Hussain among others. The release is fortunate, since the movie is a modern retelling of Ranbindranath Tagore’s short story, Kabuliwala, and today is the birth anniversary of the writer. The movie’s synopsis involves a bond between a man and a young girl, and how a civil war in Kolkata changes their lives. Rabindranath wrote the story in 1892, but it still resonates with people, hence the adaptation that is going to show the story in a modernized manner, while keeping the essence of the characters intact.

The trailer promises to be an emotional journey, which is anchored by scenes taking place in different timelines, and the great Danny Denzongpa convincing in each them. He oscillates between playful, to hurt to emotional to hopeless just in the matter of two minutes, so it seems that he is going to give a very committed performance. Other supporting players also look good, and the movie is shot very well.

The movie is going to be released on May 25 2018. It seems too close now, and the trailer is a bit late, with only few days left for the promotion and for letting people know that the movie exists, but if it is good, then audience is surely going to show up.
