Battle of The Sexes is an American biographical comedy-drama sports film directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. It is an amazing story that assimilates new generation minds. It is written by Simon Beaufoy who beautifully blends comedy-drama with sports. It is loosely based on 1973 tennis match held between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. The movie features Emma Stone and Steve Carell as King and Riggs along with Elisabeth Shue, Sarah Silverman, Austin Stowell and Andrea Riseborough for the supporting roles.

The plot of the movie loosely revolves around the true story of 1973 tennis match played between Billie Jean King-Bobby Riggs. It follows the story of (Emma Stone) Billie Jean King who struggles to win equal pay for players on the Virginia Slims circuit. She is dealing with the problems of her own career and husband Larry. She threatened by an affair that she is having with her hairdresser Marilyn. The movie starts off in the wake of the sexual revolution when the women’s world champion Billie Jean King and former men world champion Bobby Riggs was billed as the BATTLE OF THE SEXES in 1973. The king was not only dealing with equality but also struggling with her own sexuality as her friendship with Marilyn Barnett developed. While Riggs first self-made media-age celebrity who wrestled with his gambling demons.

The Battle of Sexes movie took sexuality to the court. In this movie, Steve Carell portrays the role of world champion Bobby Riggs. And Emma Stone portrays great performance of Tennis women world champion Billie Jean King. Overall, It is a good movie full of comedy sports and drama.
