Baahubali 2 grosses 860 crores at the worldwide box office collection Day 7- Creating impact worldwide

S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion opened to packed movie halls last Friday and in its first week at the box office, the movie has revolutionised the trade in the Indian film Industry and is showing no signs of slowing down. Baahubali 2 has become the first Indian movie to enter the 800 crore club at the Worldwide box office and that too in just a week after its release.

Let us take a look at Baahubali 2’s first week Worldwide Box office estimates by trade analyst Ramesh Bala. Keep in mind, the Indian box office trade is structured in such a way that the entertainment tax varies in different areas, so it is better to consider the gross figures when looking at the overall collections made. (Nett = Gross less entertainment tax paid to government)

To start with the India business first, the film has grossed in Rs. 695 crores, netting an amount of Rs. 545 crores. Whereas in the overseas market, the film has managed to gross in Rs. 165 crores all over. This takes the film to a total of Rs. 860 crores gross.

The other competitors that the movie had to overtake were the two Aamir Khan starrers PK and Dangal. PK stands at a lifetime worldwide collection of Rs. 792 crores where as Dangal (which has its China release scheduled for today) stands at Rs. 744 crores.

As you can see Baahubali 2 is well ahead of these two films in a matter of just 7 days at the cinema halls. So hence forth for all the upcoming releases, comparing them to the Aamir and Salman starrers is passé, Baahubali is the new benchmark.

If you are looking for what the hindi version of the film has managed to earn in its first week. Here it is :

The film has released in four languages : Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and hindi and stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Rana Daggubati and Sathyaraj in important roles.
