Baaghi 2 not giving credit to ‘Kshanam’ upon which it is based?

‘Kshanam’ is a Telugu romantic/action film that came out in 2015 upon which the story of Baaghi 2 is based. Sajid Nadiadwala officially bought the rights of that film and put that story in the Baaghi franchise but during the trailer launch director Ahmed Khan failed to mention this fact which has upset the director of Kshanam who goes by the name of Ravikant Perepu. He is upset because the makers did not give enough open credit to the source material of their own film, which seems unfair to him.

There are a lot of legal clauses when somebody buys the rights of a film and it is clearly mentioned where all one has to give the due credits. Now, if Nadiadwala had promised that he will mention the fact that his film is in fact sources from Kshanam than the upsetting of Ravikant is right otherwise he just wants to cash in on the hype of Baaghi 2 as this film has wider reach than Kshanam. Kshanam was a moderate hit while Baaghi 2 might end up becoming a national storm which is why the director might be looking for due credits.

Ravikant Perepu told Mid-Day, ” I have a neutral stance on the issue at this moment. The film released two years ago. The makers of Baaghi 2 had purchased the official rights of the film. But giving the writers [ Kshanam writers] credit is essential, especially since their movie is being made on a national scale.” Baaghi 2 is certainly a massive film and the biggest so far of Tiger’s career which makes it highly anticipated. Makers of the film are so confident that they had announced the poster of Baaghi 3 even more the trailer launch of Baaghi 2. Baaghi 3 will start shooting in December with it’s first schedule in China and later the film will move on with it’s production to Japan.
