Ayushmann Khurrana talks about Meri Pyaari Bindu and Bareilly ki Barfi. Ayushmann will next be seen in hindi movie Bareilly ki Barfi opposite Kriti Sanon. The actor has experimented various role including the role of a sperm donor in his debut movie Vicky Donor. During the trailer launch of his upcoming film Bareilly Ki Barfi today he was asked if he would like to change his image as an actor from a good boy. To which he responded by saying he is open to experiment. In his upcoming film ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, he is playing the role of small town boy who is bullish and dances madly at his friends weddings. He also mentions he has worked in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film. That role according to him is very different from all the roles that he has played in films so far so he believes that the image is changing.
When asked about his last movie he said he had received a mixed response to Meri Pyaari Bindu and he believes that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had eaten up the business of his last movie. Asking about box office performance of Meri Pyaari Bindu starring him and Parineeti which had released in May this year Ayushmann told he had received mixed reactions at personal levels from family and friends. Some of them loved the movie and some did not like it at all. “But I think somehow ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ ate up the business of the film. May be, it would have earned more money had ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ not been in theatres at that time. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, which released on April 28, is the highest grossing film in India.”
When asked about saying no to act in the sequel to Happy Bhaag Jayegi he said he has been shooting with Sriram and had to say no to the film. As an actor he has certain limitation of dates and he cannot do all the things at the same time. In his upcoming film he will be working with Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon the film is named Bareilly Ki Barfi which is set to release on August 18.
