Arjun Kapoor learns horse riding for ‘Battle of Panipat’

Arjun Kapoor took to micro blogging website and shared his morning ride with a horse called ‘Shaka Zulu’ in order to prepare for the ‘Battle of Panipat’. Arjun has signed onto a project with Kriti Sanon which is being directed by highly acclaimed director Ashutosh Gowariker and the production work for same is about to start. Gowariker is known for his epics like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’ hence this one is definitely going to be Arjun Kapoor’s career biggest picture so far in terms of sheer scale and scope.

Arjun posted a picture of night before with his cousin Harshvardhan Kapoor and Varun Dhawan as the entire family is busy with Sonam Kapoor’s wedding preparation. Arjun is not much of a horse rider hence he started training at Amateur Riders Club and also thanked it’s president Suresh Tapuriah for the guidance. Film also stars Sanjay Dutt in the lead role who has never done a period epic before in his life though clearly looks a perfect fit for that. Shooting of this mega production will start in a few months since a lot of preparation is needed to commence it in it’s entirety.

Ashu Gowariker has been a victim of some serious bad spell of movies post Jodha Akbar as eh delivered one disaster after the other. Films were neither appreciated by the audience or critics despite of having big budgets and major movie stars. It’s been a really long time since he made a film in general or a good one but might bounce back from this. At one point of time he use to make films with A listers like Aamir, Shahrukh and Hrithik Roshan but perhaps his new script desperately demanded Arjun and Sanjay in the film which is why he cast them. Battle of Panipat is slated to release on 6 December, 2019.
