Annabelle Creation: New trailer and poster out

The supernatural horror film Annabelle, which released back in 2014, spooked the hell out of a lot of us and if you thought that was it, you couldn’t be more wrong. Annabelle Creation, the prequel to the 2014 film is all set to release on August 18 in India and the makers have released a new trailer and poster which are creepy and spine- chilling to another level. Take a look for yourself. The film’s official twitter handle shared the film’s new poster and trailer this morning.

Annabelle Creation is the fourth film in The Conjuring franchise after The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Conjuring 2. This prequel tells us the story behind the origin/creation of the possessed Annabelle doll and how was it brought to life. The film highlights the story of a dollmaker and his wife, who lost their daughter twenty years ago in a car accident but continue to feel her presence around their house and even receive spooky notes from her. They, as a form of penance, give shelter to a nun and a group of young orphan girls whose orphanage was shut down. This possessed doll now comes in contact with these little girls to create havoc in their lives and what follows is plain horrifying and terror inducing.

The film has been directed by David. F. Sandberg who gave us the incredible 2016 horror flick Lights Out and written by Gary Dauberman, who also wrote 2014’s Annabelle.Produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, the film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard , Grace Fulton , Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck making her feature film debut, with Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto.

The film was screened at the LA Film Festival and has garnered positive reviews from the critics so far calling it a winner and a few steps ahead of its predecessor.
