Making her Bollywood debut with Issaq, model and actress Amyra Dastur is set to play in a psychological thriller titled Mental Hai Kya under the banner of Balaji Motion pictures. The 25 years old actress will play alongside RajKumar Rao who is well known for witty and unusual roles in Bollywood and Kangna Ranaut who is already a prominent name in B-town.The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh Singh and will be directed by Prakash Kavelamudi. Its release date has not been finalized yet but it is set to be released in the year 2018 itself.
The young actress will play a potential love interest of RajKumar Rao in the film Mental Hai Kya, she was last seen as a guest appearance in Saif Ali’s Kaalakandi. According to sources she has already completed the shoot for Leena Yadav’s Rajma Chawal in which she plays a rebellious love interest of Rishi Kapoor’s on-screen son. Recently it was also announced that Dastur will play Ali Fazal’s love interest in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Prasthaanam alongside Sanjay Dutt.
Entering the Bollywood in 2013 she has already starred in a handful of movies and is bagging roles for more movies with time. Three of her movies are set to be released back to back in 2018 which will be keeping her schedule busy for the year. In the ever competitive industry of Bollywood bagging big banner names is difficult if not impossible but the young talent has proved herself that she is capable of keeping up with Bollywood veterans.
Multitudes of posters have been released with the actor and actresses before the release of the movie or its plot. And by the look of the posters it can be made out that the film will be based on mental health and its problems. A B-town veteran, a young talent and a versatile actor all playing in the same movie will be worth watching. And it can be assumed that it will be a hit with the fans and critics as well.
