Akshay Kumar took to social media and shared the latest look of his from his upcoming film ‘Kesari’ while he wishes Baisakhi. In ‘Kesari’ he is playing the role of a Sikh who went into the battle with his fellow men and created history. Akshay has sported the Sikh look before in films like ‘Singh is King’ but nothing of this intensity. His extremely long beard is how it use to be in the religion during older days and the classic turban of saffron color. Picture is suggestive of a great landscape as it forms behind the sun that shines upon him.

‘Kesari’ might be the most epic film he has ever made in terms of sheer scale because Akshay is use to medium budget but high on content form of cinema. Release date of the film will be somewhere in 2019 as the shooting is rapidly going on. Parineeti Chopra is playing the role of female lead in the film opposite Akshay though she has never worked with him in the past. Cast and crew of the film had to prepare massively for extravagant action sequences they need to film and that to old school.

To shoot a modern day action scene in the battle is still comforting because soldiers use guns and shots of those can be taken from far away without hurting any stunt person but sword stunts are remarkably close to life and can get very dangerous. Also the blood spill is something they chose to avoid in Hindi cinema because censor board has scared the film makers a little too much with their mostly ridiculous decisions but ‘Kesari’ might stretch tat boundary and actually show a battle in all it’s gory. Akshay is currently shooting for one too many projects including ‘Housefull 4’ which will go on floors very soon.
