Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in a selfie leave us wanting ‘Hera Pheri’ films

Akshay Kumar took to his social media account and posted a selfie with Suniel Shetty with him he has starred in quite a few classics. Both of them started working in films around the same time and became superstars of 90’s and later starred in the comedy classic ‘Hera Pheri’ which has garnered a cult status over a period of time. In 2006 they came back again for the sequel titled ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ which did extremely well on the box office but two of them never came together again for the third part of the franchise.

There would hardly be any Hindi speaking film watching person who would not want the third part to this film with trio of Akshay, Suniel and Paresh Rawal returning in their respective roles butt green signal is not the light shining upon this project. Hera Pheri 3 is tremendously cursed as the film got started twice but never went to the finish line with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the cast as well. John did the sequel to Akshay’s 2007 blockbuster comedy ‘Welcome’ by the name of ‘Welcome Back’ and nearly destroyed the franchise with a film that bad.

Akshay and Suniel starred in 2009 comedy film ‘De Dana Dan’ directed by Priyadarshan but that did not fare as well on the box office hence a sequel to that is not in pipeline. Two of them showed up together in a picture after a long time as old but still toughest men out there. Despite of growing in age they maintained the sense of fitness to age like a fine wine and look even better than what they did in the youth. Suniel’s daughter Athya has already started featuring in motion pictures like Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘Mubarakan’ though absolutely no praise or interesting film offers are coming her way.
