Raid is an upcoming movie starring Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz in the lead roles. Film is essentially about the story of an income tax officer and how the financial aspect of this world affects the life of one in a thriller genre. Raid is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta who has famously made Ghanchakkar, No One Killed jessica and Aamir. Raid is basically Ajay Devgn’s return in realistic genre of film after doing all the Golmaal’s and Baadshaho’s that may or may not work at the box office.
Ileana has worked with Ajay in the past in a film called Baadshaho which was a disaster on the box office. Story of Raid written by Ritesh Shah while screenplay is constructed by Raj Kumar Gupta himself. Raid also has Saurabh Shukla in a vital role while music of the film is created by prolific Amit Trivedi. Raid is produced by Panorama studios in association with T Series on an estimate budget of 55 crores. Ajay has just given second biggest hit of the year by the name of Golmaal Again but that franchise is bigger than anybody in it.
Prinicipal Photography of the film began in 2017 at Lucknow and Raebareli though release date of the film is sadi to be on 16 March 2018. Bodhaditya Banerjee is serving as the editor of the film which is a more outwardly showcased element in Raj Kumar Gupta films. Raid is one of the most anticipated films of Ajay Devgn as he has not done a realistic film in a while now though he has mastered the genre working with the likes of Prakash Jha and Rituparno Ghosh. Devgn is clearly one of the most versatile actors in the world who could be blend commerce with credibility while being applauded for his performances and giving blockbuster box office.
