Ajay Devgn reveals first look of Aapla Manus, his first Marathi venture

Ajay Devgn took to twitter to reveal the first look poster of his upcoming Marathi film Aapla Manus. Ajay will serve as a producer on this Nana Patekar starrer and will not act in the film. It is Ajay’s first Marathi venture ever after working in Hindi films for 2 decades. Nana Patekar will be essaying the role of a common man who stands up against the system and fights Indian political bureaucracy. Nana has done many Marathi films, last being Natsamrat which was immensely appreciated by the audience and critics. Aapla Manus will be produced under his own production company Devgn films.

Ajay Devgn these days is high on the success of Golmaal Again which will end up becoming third highest grossing film of the year after Baahubali and Tiger Zinda Hai. Ajay also had a disappointment this year by the name of Baadshaho which is a heist thriller set in 1970’s also starring Emraan Hashmi and Sanjay Mishra. Ajay is also working on his next film Raid, which stars Ilena d’cruz and himself. Raid is based on the income tax department activities in India and is said to be a realistic film by the genre.

Ajay will soon release the trailer of Aapla Manus as the film is slated to release on 9 February 2018. Sarabhai famed Sumeet Raghvan will also be a part of the cast of Aapla Manus. Aapla Manus is said to be a medium budget film and Ajay’s got Viacom 18 and Watergate as co-producers on the film. Nana Patekar was last seen in a cameo in Ajay’s Golmaal 4, where he played a ghost who enters the bodies of other cast members. Nana’s track in Golmaal was said to be the funniest part of the film and he might also show up for a cameo in Golmaal 5. Aapla Manus will be directed by prolific Marathi film director Satish Rajwade.
