Aiyaary release date shifted to 16 February

Siddharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary has been waiting in the wings for a long time as it was suppose to release on 26 January which would have really helped the military nature of the film but due to arrival of Padmaavat and competition from Padman they shifted their release date to 9 February but problems are far from over for Aiyaary because they still have not a certificate from Censor Board of Film Certification because the defence ministry wanted to watch the film before release and they still have not green lit.

Aiyaary is directed by celebrated director Neeraj Pandey who is known for making realistic thrillers that showcase the potholes in different aspect of Indian government agencies as he did with Special 26 when he put foraward the problems existing in Central Bureau of Investigation or his first film A Wednesday starring Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah and Jimmy Shergill talked about elected officials and the incompetency of Indian judicial system to punish the convicts and this time Pandey the maters related to Indian Army in is hands and merged it in his espionage thriller but he is being targeted for doing so.

People related to Aiyaary were not particularly happy that Akshay Kumar shifted the release date of Padman from 25 January to 9 February and is now going to clash with them which was basically the whole point of shifting the release date but tables have turned now when Padman is getting a desired release on 9 February and online advance ticket sale is already open for the film and Aiyaary had to shift it’s base to 16 February which would essentially make it a solo release because next big film is on 23 February by the name of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Aiyaary will enjoy a whole week by itself but a film getting delayed continously shows a producer’s incompetency.
