Agent Bhairava movie review: Telugu’s action comedy based on corruption

Agent Bhairava is a new Telugu movie staring actor Vijay in the lead role. It is the dubbed version of Tamil fiction Bhairava, the movie is now dubbed in Telugu titled Agent Bhairava. It is a story based on corruption in educational institutes where five to ten minutes of the movie has been dedicated to telling us the point how institutes are going corrupt.

The story of the movie revolves around the loan recovery agent Bhairava who neither does any illegal work nor let people do illegal activity. In the movie Vijay plays the role of Bhairava who belongs to the middle-class family. The movie starts with the introduction of antagonist (Jagapathi Babu) and set up his story. And just after 20 minutes, flashback story starts as a commercial film. In between, he falls in love with Keerthy Suresh who comes to Hyderabad to attend friend’s wedding. He learns about her past in an attempt to propose her. How Bhairava handles the problem and helps her forms the remaining part of the story.

The screenplay and pacing are not so good as the overall movie is focusing on the character of Vijay. Vijay’s character is completely out of sync with the story where Keerthy Suresh gives her best as usual entertain audience with her alluring expressions. The main highlights of the movie are pre-interval action sequences and the background music. The director Bharathan tried to make every fight scene a slow motion mirage which didn’t turn out perfectly. Except from the characters there are nothing much to praise about the movie. Overall it is one-time watch fiction.
