Abhinay Deo’s Blackmail starring Irrfan Khan to be released on April 6 2018

Abhinay Deo’s comedy movie, Blackmail, starring Irrfan Khan, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Kriti Kulhari and Omi Vaidya is going to be released on 6 April 2018. It is produced by TSeries and RDP motion pictures. Abhinay Deo previously directed the cult favorite, Delhi Belly, which gave an amazing lead role to Imran Khan, so it will be interesting to see what Irrfan Khan is going to bring to his quirky sensibilities. Irrfan Khan is one of the most versatile and acclaimed actors in the Indian film industry, having worked in both Indian and English language movies. He has been heralded as one of the best actors working today, who can easily transverse from arthouse projects like Piku and Maqbool to something like Jaurassic world and Spider man.

Divya Dutta, who is another acclaimed but underrated actress will also be starring opposite him, which is a welcoming sight for the movie lovers, since she works less than she used to, and the industry always needs good actors to propel a movie. Kriti Kulhari, who has also recieved rave reviews for her performances in movies like Pink and Indu Sarkar is reportedly going to play the love interest of Irrfan in the movie. It is probably going to be a interesting dynamic between the two actors.

Deol’s Delhi Belly was an unexpected success with its strange, dirty humor and a surreal plot, so hopes are riding high on this project as well, and when the movie has so many accomplished actors, it is bound to have very interesting results for sure. Delhi Belly’s awkward humor was not liked by some people who only want the conventional jokes in movies so it could be that Blackmail will also face such criticism, but its’ too soon to tell, and we’ll be eagerly waiting for a trailer and other materials in the coming months.
