Aamir Khan has now said that Secret superstar is even bigger than Dangal, his record smashing movie about wrestling that is still getting lauded with praise and money since its release last year. And now with Aamir’s assertion that Secret superstar is even bigger in scale than the former movie has sent the industry abuzz with speculations about what kind of impact it is going to have since it has a child protagonist and Aamir khan plays more of a supporting role in the movie.
Directed by Advait Chandan, and also starring Zara wasim as Insiya as a child who wants to be a singer, the movie was produced by Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao.
The movie is being anticipated by many of Aamir’s fans and other cinephiles and it seems that it is going to be a hit anyway, but it is still early to call is a blockbuster before release, since it hasn’t been approved by China yet, and Chinese box office had a major contribution to the success of Dangal.
Still, it is reassuring that Aamir thinks that Secret superstar has a bigger scope, because an actor of his caliber should always challenge himself and creating new oppurtunities to give newcomers and unknown actors a chance to break out in the industry.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 19 October 2017
