2.0 movie: The science fiction starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar

2.0 movie is an upcoming science fiction starring superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. The movie is set to release worldwide on 25th January 2018. And the audio will be launched in the month of October around Diwali in Dubai. It is directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan, and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. This movie is a sequel to the Tamil film Enthiran aka Robot of the year 2010 and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi language. It is the most expensive Indian film with an estimated budget of ₹450 crore (₹4.5 billion).

Although earlier the director S. Shankar chose and had initial discussions with Kamal Haasan, Aamir Khan and then Vikram about portraying a further role but none of them signed to appear in the film. Subsequently, S. Shankar asked Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger for the role, who agreed to work on the film for a record remuneration. But later some conflicting issues occur regarding this decision after which Akshay Kumar signed to portray the role in which Schwarzenegger was initially considered. Then in November the great Tamil actor Rajnikanth had also joined the cast of 2.0 movie. S. Shankar also chose British actress Amy Jackson for the prominent role in the movie. Later Sudhanshu Pandey also joined the cast who will portray the role of a scientist,
was the son of Professor Bohra from the original film.

After the mega worldwide blockbuster of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the Aamir Khan’s Dangal has put the spotlight on Lyca Productions which is going all out to chase the overseas market. Lyca Productions is now working on one of expensive Indian film After the phenomenal success of Dangal in China, many Chinese distributors. The 2.0 movie is the mixture of sci-fi, emotional core and 3D.
