2.0: Akshay Kumar and RajniKanth movie not a sequel to Enthiran

2.0 is one of the most anticipated movie of the year because it brings two superstars from two different worlds of Indian film making, Akshay Kumar from Bollywood and Rajnikanth from Tollywood. The movie is said to be one of the most expensive movie’s made in India and will be employing a large number of special effects to make the look of Akshay and Rajnikanth more authentic. And now, it is being revealed that 2.0 is not a sequel to the 2010 sensation Enthiran, but an entirely new story, with a new concept and new characters. The movie is not going to continue the story of the characters in the previous movie.

This is indeed a very good decision in part because it would make it easier for people who havent seen the movie to let themselves immerse in the story of 2.0 and its characters. The filming for 2.0 is still going on, but it was reported that Akshay Kumar had completed his work on the set and the climatic fight scene has been already shot.

In addition, the director of 2.0, Shankar Shanmugham also tweeted a new look for actress Amy Jackson, who’ll play a robot in the movie and has a song that’ll start shooting today.
