UPSC Civil Service prelims exam notification is likely to release today at upsc.gov.in

UPSC will finally release the notification for the civil service exam prelims today. The notification will be released today on the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in . The application form will be issued today and will be available till March 6, 2018. No candidate will be allowed to fill the form after the deadline. The prelims exam will be conducted on June 3, 2018. Candidate must check the eligibility criteria before applying for this application form. The prelims exam will be an objective type. There will be two rounds for selection. One will be the prelims exam and the other will be the mains exam. The mains exam will consist of written and the interview round.

The candidate who will qualify the prelims exam will appear for the mains and the mains qualified candidates will be offered a post in the government sector. Officers for IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service) and IRS (Indian Revenue Service) in India are selected from this examination and commission conducts the same every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an organisation that works under the central government to recruit staff for various posts in the various ministries and departments, and in subordinate offices for the benefit of the state.

The exam pattern for this exam is that there will be negative marking for wrong answers. So it is advised that the candidate must not appear for the ones there are no sure of. Candidates who will qualify the prelims exam will have to appear for the mains exam that is scheduled on September 28, 2018. This exam is conducted every year for recruitment of the government staff. The maximum marks of the prelims exam is 400. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and the question paper will be available in English as well as Hindi.
