Here are the Steps to check CBSE UGC NET 2017 results

The CBSE UGC NET 2017 results are expected to release today on May 10. Candidates can check their results from the official website http://cbsenet.nic.in. CBSE UGC NET exams conduct for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). According to UGC NET rules, while the candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are eligible for being Assistant Professor.

Here are the steps to check the results:

  • Go to the official website, http://cbsenet.nic.in
  • Click on the link, Results of UGC NET JAN 2017
  • Enter all the required details
  • Results will be displayed
  • Download and take a printout for future use

These exams were conducted on January 22 in 84 subjects at 90 selected NET examination cities spread across the country and the results have been delayed by around three months this year. These exams are conducted for determining the eligibility for a number of posts, Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship across the country.

As per the UGC NET 2017 exam pattern, the exam had three papers and it was compulsory for candidates to appear in all papers. The UGC NET 2017 paper I was of general nature intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate. Paper II and III of UGC NET 2017 were subject specifics as selected by candidates.

Recently, the board had said that it was overburdened by different exams and asked the Union Human Resource Development Ministry to take away the UGC NET exam from them. But until the further orders, the exam will be conducted by the CBSE. According to the media report, HRD Ministry is mulling to conduct CTET and UGC NET once a year.
