SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2017 : Cut offs may go high this year

A notification has been issued by the Staff Selection Commission ssc today on the Combined Graduate Level(CGL) Tier 1 examination , 2017. The Staff Selection Commission opened up about its awareness about the problem being faced by the candidates in the examination conducted on August 10(Batch-II) (13.15 Hrs to 14.15Hrs). The problem faced by the candidates was in viewing one quantitative aptitude question, wherein a part of the question was not visible. Therefore now the commission has assured that they would take appropriate and required action on this specific issue to ensure that no candidate is put to any disadvantage on this account.

Now the CGL Tier 1 examination will began on August 5 and will continue till August 25, 2017. As per the notification and the official website, the tier 1 is examination is computer-based and contains 25 questions each for reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general awareness and English comprehension. Each section carries a weightage of 50 marks and there will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer. The quantitative aptitude and the general awareness sections were of moderate difficulty, the logical reason and the English comprehension sections were much easier.

With the difficulty level of the papers not been so high, it can be estimated that the cut off might go higher this year than the previous year. There are in total three examinatons that will be conducted on Saturday and the SSC CGL examination will take place on August 24, 2017. The candidates who will clear the tier 1 examination will be considered eligible for selection.

We wish all the students Best of Luck!!
