The Staff Selection Commission seems to increase the cut-off of 2017 Combined Graduate Level(CGL) examination. As per the last years performance, 2017 SSC CGL examination cut off is expected to get higher. The cut off of SSC CGL has been getting higher since the past years and in 2017 also it has been assumed that SSC will set the cut off high for the aspirants of the SGL Tier 1 examination. It has also been expected that although the cut off will increase of SSC CGL Tier 1 examination 2017, the tough competition of the examination will also reduce as the papers will be easy. Earlier the exam dates for the SSC CGL Tier 1 2017 has been extended from August 1 to 5 August.
As per the reports, from the last 4 years the cut off the SSC CGL Tier 1 has been 62, 102, 96.5 and 102.25 respectively in the general categories. And for SC/ST and Physical handicapped cut-off varied from 62-103 and 25-90 respectively. The overall marks for the examination has been out of 200. Therefore, SSC has been planning to set high cut-off for the candidates of CGL Tier 1 exam 2017.
As the reports and notifications, earlier the Tier 1 examination was scheduled to start from 1st August 2017 but later it was postponed from 5th August, 2017. Now the examination will be carried from 5th to 25th August, 2017. The question will consist of 25 questions from the reasoning, English comprehension, general awareness and quantitative aptitude. The sections of SSC CGL Tier 1 examination will carry 50 marks and 1/2 marks will be deducted for every inaccurate answers. The main aim of SSC to conduct the examinations is to fill up different categories of posts in different departments, ministries and organisations of the government.
