The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that it will declare the results of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 examination on 31 October, 2017. The candidates who have appeared for the examination can check their result that will be uploaded on the official website, ssc.nic.in. The Staff Selection Commission will also release its answer keys of SSC CGL Tier 1 on September 18.
This year over 14 lakh candidates have appeared for the examination and the commission also confirmed that this time no major inappropriate incident took place. Combined Graduate Level 2017 Tier 1 started from August 5 for 43 batches as reported by the Staff Selection Commission. A total number of candidates who registered for the examination were 30,26,599 and the average attendance for the SSC CGL Tier 1 examination is 52.66 percentage recorded so far. This examination is completely conducted computer-based and contains 25 questions each questions. The questions are based on reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English comprehension. Each section carries weightage of 50 marks and also the candidates will be negatively marked for 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
The selection process of the examination is that the candidates will have to qualify all the three Tiers individually and the candidates who qualify Tier 1 examination will be called for Tier 11 and SSC will also count the marks of Tier 1, Tier 11 and Tier 111. Staff Selection Commission every year conducts CGL examination with the aim to fulfil the posts of different categories in various ministries, departments and organisations that too in the government sector.
