Mumbai University results have already been delayed by like 2 months. Usually the results are announced in the month May or June most likely the results will be declared today. As per sources University has already prepared about almost 90% results except for commerce and law students. TAking in consideration that any further delay in the declaration of university results might affect the career of students the Governor had asked the VC Dr Sanjay Deshmukh to augment the system in possible ways for declaring the results on time.
On July 4, Rao has summoned Deshmukh and ordered him to ensure that all results are declared by 31 July, and appointed an officer to monitor the results progress and daily report to the state government. They also have to submit its daily progress report to the Governor. Earlier the students and teachers have protested against the delay of the result and the glitches teachers face while evaluating papers. The results has been delayed due to the last moment implementation of online evaluation process under the current VC Dr Sanjay Deshmukh.
Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant stated that the situation is extremely serious he alleged that the RSS has held the education system in Mumbai and RSS connections have been given priority while appointments to various key positions, including that of Vice Chancellor. The result delay is bound to impact many students to pursue higher education courses.
