JNU Entrance Exam Date 2018, Admission process and Exam syllabus

Jawaharlal Nehru University that is also known as JNU has finally announced the schedule of its entrance examination for the academic year 2018-19. The entrance examination will be conducted for four days from December 27 to December 30. The university is very prestigious as it offers 720 seats for M.Phil/PhD courses, 459 for BA programmes and 1,118 seats for MA, M.Sc, MPH courses and M.Tech and not only this it offers many other courses for different types of students as well. The university’s administration has also announced in the month of May that the entrance examinations for all the courses is scheduled to be shifted from the usual period between May and June to December that will be starting from this year.

The part time programmes (diploma and certificate courses) will be open for 240 seats which was a statement released by the Registrar of the university. Some of the important dates that candidates need to keep in mind are: Application form availability in online mode will be from September 15, Last date for registration online is October 13, 2017, Correction in online application form is 2nd week of November 2017, Admit card issue date is 4th week of November 2017, JNUEE 2018 will be held on December 27 to 30, 2017, the result declaration will take place 2nd week of January 2018, declaration of result for courses for which the interview is prescribed is 3rd week of January 2018, Publication of merit list for those who have not undergone interview is 1st week of February 2018, Interview of selected candidates will be held on 2nd week of January 2018 and the merit list publication for the candidates who have appeared for the interview will be released in the 2nd week of February 2018.

The admission process for the candidates who wish to be a part of the university need to follow the procedures and for that the candidates need to fill up the forms for which the candidate will have to log on to the official website of JNU, www.jnu.ac.in and then click on the new registration. The candidates should take a note that if they are registering themselves for the entrance examination then they should also read the booklet and rules of the university as well. Moreover, the candidates who wish to check the syllabus and previous years question papers can check the official website for the same.
