IIT JEE Main 2017 Exam results announced : Here is how you can check your result

The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains 2017 examination results on its official website. Candidates can check their results here

As per the official press release, the results of JEE (Main) Paper 1 score and rank along with the list of top 2,20,000 candidates eligible for JEE (Advanced) have been declared. More than 10 lakh students appeared for the JEE Main 2017 examination which were conducted across 2000 centres in approximately 109 cities in India as well as abroad. The JEE main exam which is in its 5th edition was held on April 2 (Sunday).

Follow the below mentioned steps to check your JEE Main results :

  • Now enter your Roll number, Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format and the security pin. (this is case sensitive, so students are advised to keep that in mind)

  • Click on submit
  • The result will be displayed. Save it to your computer and take a print out for future reference.

The scores that have been released comprise of marks obtained in Paper 1 along with the status of those candidates who are eligible to qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced), subject to all other conditions being satisfied. The rank comprises of All India Rank (AIR) and All India Category Rank. Application to JEE (Advanced) starts tomorrow.

The JEE scores form the basis of admission into NIIT’s, IIIT’s and other centrally funded technical Institutions. Candidates who clear the JEE Main examination are eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced for admission in IIT’s.

The score cards or rank cards will not be sent to candidates personally, so they are requested to download them from the JEE main website. And for further updates, regular browsing of the official website is advised.
