Department of Higher Education (DHE) of Odisha has announced the second phase merit list for the plus three admissions. The applicants who are selected will go through the admission process between 16-18 August. The updation data of the applicants selected for second phase merit list will be done by 5pm on 19 August. About 2,34,893 have applied for the admissions in degree course.
Seats available in the stream of art is 2,27,790 and about 1,30,018 moreover 42,835 in Science and Commerce stream. Odisha as a state has never been high on literacy rate but this year has officially recorded the most number of people applying of bachelors courses. This goes onto prove that more number of people have started taking education on the elementary level so that they could go on for higher education.
Every year the number of people who complete class 10th or 12th have increased and with that more number of students especially girls are not droping out after school but join a degree course in a university.
