CBSE UGC NET exams were held twice every year across India. The exam was conducted on January 22 in 84 subjects at 90 selected NET examination cities spread across the country. These exams conduct for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). According to UGC NET rules, while the candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are eligible for being Assistant Professor. On the other hand, a candidate who only qualify UGC NET exams but not JRF is only eligible for being appointed as Assistant Professor in any university, college across India.
