Finally the long wait is over as Cbse 12th result 2017 is out now. Earlier the CBSE class 12 results were expected to come out on May 25 but were delayed due to the Delhi High Court orders to continue the practice of marks moderation policy. The board had finally announced to release the class 12 results on May 28 after the board was instructed by legal experts to not to follow the Supreme Court of India challenging the Delhi High Court judgement on the marks moderation policy. The curiosity has finally reached to end as the uncertainty over results date is finally over. The results are being declared one week late than last year, last year the board declared CBSE 12th result 2017 on May 21.
This announcement has brought relief to around 11 lakh students who had appeared for the examination this year. The CBSE board conducted the class 12 examinations on March and April months this year. The CBSE board had to sustain on the Delhi High Court order on the moderation policy, which was sparred last month, and stay with it, reported PTI.
Looking at the total number of 10,98,891 candidates from 10,678 schools registered for CBSE class 12 exams this year, which is increment of 2.82 per cent point increase from last year. The Delhi region has the uppermost number of candidates (2,58,321) appearing followed by Panchkula with 1,84,557 and Ajmer with 1,31,449 candidates. Also a total of 2,497 candidates under the disabilities category also registered for this year’s exam.
The result is available on the board website, cbse.nic.in. The results will also be updated in the CBSE results website, cbseresults.nic.in. The board has followed the five-point moderation policy as directed by the high court.
