CAT 2017 registration: starts from August 9 at iimcat.ac.in

CAT 2017 registration to begin from August 9 at iimcat.ac.in. The Common Admission Test that is conducted for admission into Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will be held on 26 November 2017 in the two sessions. The registration for the CAT admission test to begin from 9 August to September 20. The convener professor Neeraj Dwivedi said that the test will be conducted at the centres across the 140 cities. In order of preferences candidates provided with the option to select four cities. Candidates who want to appear for the Common admission test can register themselves on by visiting the official website i.e., iimcat.ac.in. The entry tickets and the centres will be allotted to the candidates after the last date for the CAT 2017 registration.

The convener said that we will try our best to assign candidates their first preferences. In case it is not possible then they will be assigned city following given their order of preferences. In the rare case that candidates are not allotted any of the preferred cities. They will be allotted to an alternate city. The Common Admission test comprises of three sections i.e.,  Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. And the duration of the test is 180 minutes.

And the duration of the test is 180 minutes. There will be some multiple choice questions. Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions of every section that is compulsory. The format of the Common Admission test will be available on the website from October 18.
