The wait is over for the UP Board students as finally the result for Class 12th examination declared. This year the results of UP Board has delayed due to several reasons one reason is the Five states election in which one state is Uttar Pradesh itself and another reason is that the board cracked on episodes of mass cheating. Students are getting anxious and eagerly waiting for the results of Uttar Pradesh board as it gets delayed whereas last year it declared its results on May 15.

Students who have appeared for the examination of Uttar Pradesh Board Class 12th can check their results on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Board i.e., http://upresults.nic.in or can visit the alternative websites like http://examresults.nic.in and indiaresults.com.

These results mark an important milestone for 60 lakh students as the UP Board announced Class 10th and Class 12th results together in which approximately 60 lakh students have registered and appeared for the examination.

The passing percentage for Uttar Pradesh Board has varied greatly over the past decades, the lowest percentage is 40% in the year 2008 and the highest percentage is 88% in the year 2016. This was due to varying levels to strictness by the administration to combat mass copying according to the officials. And it is expected that the pass percentage will fall significantly this year as compared to 2016.

This year UP Board came up with a new rule that students who have scored above 90 percent will evaluate their marks while around 1.37 lakh teachers commenced evaluation of a total of about 4.6 crore answer sheets at 253 centres from April 27 onwards.

In 1921, organisation Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) was set up at Allahabad which conducts the exams of UP Board under UPMSP. Uttar Pradesh Board is one of the largest organisation as it is affiliated with around 22,000 schools where approximately 60 lakh students appeared for the examination every year.
