AP POLYCET 2017 RESULTS OUT; Check on polycetap.nic.in

The Andhra Pradesh Board of Technical Education and Training released the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test 2017 (AP POLYCET 2017) results on its official website for the polytechnic examination, polycetap.nic.in , thus ending the wait of the large number of candidates who are looking for admission into polytechnic colleges and appeared for the entrance test conducted across various examination centres.

The AP POLYCET is conducted for the candidates looking for admission into all Diploma Courses in Engineering/ Non Engineering/ Technology offered at Polytechnics institutions in Andhra Pradesh. The State board for Technical Education and Training, Vijayawada conducted the POLYCET for admissions for the academic year 2017- 2018 on April 28 last month.

The candidates to be eligible to take the test had to have passed their 10+2 examinations from any recognised institution. The exam is in the multiple choice questions format covering 60 questions in physics, 30 questions in chemistry and 30 in Mathematics. According to the board, the minimum marks required to clear/pass the entrance test is 30 percent i.e. 36 marks out of 120.

Steps to download the AP POLYCET 2017 results:

  • Go to the official website for the entrance test (polycetap.nic.in)
  • Click on the link for AP POLYCET 2017 results
  • Fill in your hall ticket number for the exam
  • Click on submit
  • Download the results sheet and take a printout for the same for future reference.

It is also important to note that the 30 percent cut off is not applicable to candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled tribes and they shall be assigned ranks irrespective of the marks obtained by them in the entrance test and are eligible to compete for their category seat during the admission process.

The board had announced earlier in a press release that the rank cards would be dispatched within a week from the date of declaration of results.
