Reliance Jio is just one day away to start booking for “effectively-free” 4G VoLTE enabled phone. Jio Phone booking will start officially today at 5.30 PM , with online and offline option. The delivery of the handset is expected by first week on September and is on the first come first basis. Reliance Jio will bring five millions phones in a market as per the statement by Reliance Chairman, Mukesh Ambani. The price of the phone is effectively zero but one will require to deposit Rs 1,500 against the handset, this amount will be fully refundable after the period of three years. As to get the refund the customer has o return the handset to the company and should be in working condition.
This mobile device is manufactured by Reliance Jio in partnership with Foxconn, it is expected to run on mill feature. This device is pre-loaded with Jio apps and Jio services like Jio TV, Jio Music and Jio Cinema. It also has features like voice-enabled interface, and it can be operated using voice commands. It screen size of the this handset is 2.4 inch QVGA screen and has other features like microSD slot, a torch light, FM radio, and an alphanumeric keypad. The data plans starts at Rs. 153 with 500 MB 4G data per day with 28 days validation of the plan and you can mirror content from Jio TV at 309 only. You can make free voice call to any network across India but if the usage cross 300 minutes per day, Jio may cancel free call benefit till another 24 hour of the day starts.
Reliance Jio achieved exponential growth since its launch and successfully added 6 million new customers in June. Lets see how the launch of Reliance Jio phone goes in the market, though Jio have mass number of customer base already.
